The Westchester Putnam Women's Basketball Officials Association services NY State Section 1 HS Basketball. WPWBOA is dedicated to the education, training and continuous development of its members while promoting fair play and good sportsmanship. The WPWBOA uses the NCAA Women's Basketball Rules and Points of Emphasis to enforce the rules of fair play. In addition NYSGBOA also contributes to the rules and regulations that govern Section 1.
WPWBOA dedicates and prides is association:
To educate, train, develop, and provide continuous instruction for women's basketball officials.
To promote the welfare of the game of basketball, its players, coaches, fans, schools and officials.
To maintain the highest standard of women's basketball officiating.
To encourage the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.
To have available at all times an adequate number of thoroughly trained and capable officials.
To cooperate with all organizations officially connected with the game of basketball in furthering its interests and ideals.
